Support for Return to R&D

Program Introduction
We provide education and mentoring support so that women whose careers have been interrupted due to childbirth and childcare can successfully find jobs at companies and research institutes. In addition, we promote employment through job matching programs with universities and public and private research institutes and provide research funding. Awaken your dormant career with WISET.
Program Details

Target

  • Participants : Those who have obtained at least a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering and are not enrolled in employment insurance as of the date of filing an application to participate in the program
  • Participating institutions : Research institutes in the field of science and technology that want to utilize career-interrupted women in STEM

Support details

  • Research funding for research institutes hiring career-interrupted women in STEM to participate in R&D (KRW 21 million/year for a master’s degree researcher and KRW 23 million/year for a Ph.D. degree researcher)
  • Empowerment of career-interrupted women and education and mentoring for career development

Support period

  • up to 3 years (Annual evaluation is conducted every 12 months to evaluate whether to continue providing support.)
