2021~ 2021. 06.Changed the name of the organization to “Korea Foundation for Women In Science, Engineering and Technology (WISET)”
Strengthened its role from a project/program-oriented organization to a policy-leading organization in order to implement proactive response measures in line with the trends of the Fourth Industrial Revolution

2013 2013. 01.Establishment of a public interest foundation
A non-profit public interest foundation was established to strengthen the independence of national policy projects and realize a long-term vision, and it has emerged as an organization that undisputedly provides comprehensive support to women in STEM.
  • Opening of the Academy for Women in STEM (2014~Present)
  • Designation and operation the Scientists and Engineers Cooperation Support Center (2013~2021)
  • Designation and operation the Seoul New Science and Technology Job Center (2014~2022)
  • R-WeSET 1.0, a project to foster local women in STEM (2012~2021)
  • Inauguration of Han Hwa-jin as the 2nd President of WISET (2016. 03.)
  • Establishment of the Center for Women in Science, Engineering, and Technology (1st President: Lee Hye-sook) (2013. 01.)

Programs concerning women in STEM (WISE, WATCH21, WIST, WIF) had been implemented separately from 2001 to 2010 were integrated to create the framework as an organization dedicated to supporting women in STEM
