I am Yoon Hye On, President of the Korea Foundation for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (WISET).
As Korea's only public institution dedicated exclusively to women in STEM, WISET has been a steadfast partner — helping women enter the field, grow within it, and reach their full potential. Across laboratories, companies, universities, and industry floors, the challenges women overcome and the achievements they create are a vital driving force behind our society's innovation.
We are living through an era of profound transformation — one where the AI and digital revolution intersect with declining birth rates and intensifying global competition for technological leadership. The ability to go beyond simply acquiring knowledge, to harness AI as a tool for creating new value, is fast becoming the defining quality of tomorrow's top talent. In an already limited talent pool, the contributions of women in STEM have never been more essential.
