Supporting Research Travel Grants

Introduction
A great deal of preparation is required to acquire a research position after a Ph.D. degree program. We help doctoral-level female professionals gain experience giving presentations at prestigious overseas conferences, train on cutting-edge technologies, gain R&D capabilities, and build global networks.
Overview

Objectives

  • Spread of R&D research results of female employees with a Ph.D. degree in STEM with a temporary contract
  • Expanding jobs with a permanent contract for female employees with Ph.D. degrees in STEM with a temporary contract

Eligibility

  • Female employees with a Ph.D. degree in STEM with a temporary contract (Ph.D. holders in science or engineering, those who have research experience in STEM for more than 3 years after a master’s degree program in science or engineering, and those who continuously engage in research after completing a Ph.D. degree program in science or engineering)

Application period

  • Once in the first/second half of each year

Details

  • Overseas training: Financial assistance of a maximum of KRW 8 million (transportation and living expenses) → (Revised) Financial assistance for transportation and living expenses
  • Academic activities: Financial assistance for conference registration fees, transportation, and living expenses, and research article publication fees

Period

  • First half : April to August
  • Second half : September to November
